So I shot a set for the Playboy/Zivity contest "girls with glasses"

So when it's the love of your life's birthday (and he doesn't love you anymore) the only thing to do is to run away from the city you shared all your happy memories in and find a guy in another. So I did.

Don't think it was random, it wasn't. I've known him for 8 years. And we've hooked up before. So it was the perfect escape, so to speak. Like visiting an old friend. Which, i was.

I've also fallen in love with NYC. The guy notwithstanding, because those are easy enough to find, but I've lived in Philly for about 15 months already and I don't have a single girl friend. Sure sure, I have girls that I see on occasion, but not a girlfriend. I adore going to NYC to stay with Leighann and stay up giggling and gossiping and talking about grad school. I mean, we bought the Broadway Dance game for the Wii this weekend and looked like fools trying to learn the choreography. And i really loved that. Don't get me wrong, I love my roommate, but there are so many gay men in my life. And sometimes, i just need someone else who has a vagina.

Anyway, the guy. We were going a lot of talking between making out, and at one point, he says something to the effect of "well vaginas are just space that wants be filled." And yeah, that does sound like the 'deep dicking' argument from "Chasing Amy" which was TOTALLY offensive, but his comment struck me with a point.

For me, its the ACT of sex that is satisfying. I mean, yeah, orgasms are nice. But i don't consider "good" sex on account of orgasms... its really the doing that is more fun. So is that just the argument that nature abhors a vacuum? IDK. Just thinking...

Ok, so here is something that sucks. My job currently does not have benefits. Which means no PTO. No sick time. Not even time and a half if we work overtime. BAH.

And today i'm sick. So sick, that even though I don't think i'll have enough money to pay rent this month, I had to go home early. And I tried to sleep, but i've just tossed and turned. So I'm just going to write a little bit, if you care to come along on the journey into my mind.

1) there are an awful lot of puppy chow commericals on daytime television. And it really makes me miss my Misty (who lives with my parents) and my Sophie (who lives with my  old roommate's mom)

2) this Playboy thing at zivity really has me thinking. On the one hand, WOOO PLAYBOY. On the other hand Zivity has been a reall cool haven for all sorts of girls, alt, tatted, thin, curvy, etc. And the playboy genre isn't that. Playboy girls are all thin, busty, and stunning. And while I put on this confident air, let's be honest, if I was a playboy girl, I'd have done it by now. I mean, I'm not getting any younger. And it has been pointed out to me that i'm likely "too big" for what they want. And while I'm going to compete, lord knows  i'm not in any mental state to have random internet jerks tell me why I suck.

3) I'm sick. And that sucks. I made soup. And an old friend has told me that he has sent me comfort food, but its not here yet. Scratch that. It just got here. Thanks Steel Curtain!

4) I have two huge photoshoots this weekend in two different cities. I DON"T HAVE TIME TO BE SICK.

Ok, i guess I should eat this food.

Ok, so the Lady Gaga concert sold out in like .2 seconds way back when. So they added another show that I still didn't get tickets for. Boo.

Is it worth scalping them?  I think yes. Its just a matter of finding an extra 500 bucks for the stupidly gouged prices.
